Honeybees

group of bees that live together in a single hive is called a colony.  Colonies contain three kinds of bee:  A queen, many worker bees, and perhaps some drones.  All three kinds of bees come from the same kind of eggs, which are laid only by the queen except in unusual circumstances.  The kind of bee they will become depends very much on the kind of cell (in the wax comb) the egg is laid in.
